Honoring Nick Monios
Nick Monios was a devoted member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church and a true pillar of faith, leadership, and service. He was initiated into AHEPA on April 23, 1959, and dedicated decades of support to the church and its ministries.
Nick served as church president for seven terms and gave countless hours to parish life. Many remember him greeting visitors in the narthex and helping make the Greek Festival a warm and welcoming experience for everyone who attended. He was also a remarkable fundraiser whose efforts helped make possible the church’s sanctuary and community center.
The proceeds from this annual event continue to support the church and its ministries in Nick’s honor. His example of generosity, commitment, and joy continues to inspire this tournament year after year, and his legacy remains deeply woven into the life of the parish.
