We are very excited announce that we will be back together in person. Greek school registration will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 5:30-7pm in the gym (upper level conference room). More information including the starting date will be announced at registration. If you have any question feel free to reach out to Tasia Triantos via email at greekschool@assumptionlb.org

The Assumption Greek Language School has been an integral part of the Assumption Parish since its founding. Alongside the richness and glory of our Orthodox Christian faith, children of our community have been blessed with dedicated teachers who teach the Greek language, history, and culture. Teachers present engaging lessons and activities to eager students. This is a challenging yet rewarding mission as children are now second, third, and fourth generation Greek-Americans who seek the opportunity to learn Greek.
The Greek School presents two programs during the school year to celebrate the historic events of Oxi Day (October 28th) and Greek Independence Day (March 25th). On these days, children recite poems, sing songs, and present skits that reflect their pride in Greece and their progress in learning Greek. Other traditions include our annual Christmas party, cutting of the Vasilopita, and graduation.
The Greek School has been an enduring pillar of the Assumption Parish and it is with our prayers and hope that God continues to bless this ministry.
