Offer a Candle in Prayer
Each candle lit in the narthex becomes a quiet prayer — for loved ones, for healing, for remembrance, and for the light of Christ to remain present in our lives.
At Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Long Beach, candle offerings continue a sacred tradition of prayer and devotion. Whether you are attending services in person or making an offering online, your candle becomes a visible sign of prayer within the life of the Church.

Why Candle Offerings Matter
In the Orthodox Christian tradition, the candle reminds us of Christ, the Light of the world. Each candle represents a prayer lifted up before God — for the living, for the departed, for healing, for guidance, and for peace.
Your offering also helps support the ongoing life of our parish. Candle donations assist with the cost of candles while helping maintain the church, support ministries, and continue the worship and service of our community.
Thank You for Your Prayers and Support
We are grateful for every candle offered, every prayer lifted, and every gift that helps support Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Long Beach.
